These characters came alive for me right from the word go - their complex relationships left me wanting more. Each one was beautifully drawn, but I especially fell for tender hearted and slightly off-the-wall George.Diane and james' on-off romance was tantalising and Tamzin's problems were sensitively explained. I also kept recognising parts of Peterborough and surrounding areas that are familiar - it's good to find a book set in the heart of the country for a change. Am now reading 'All That Mullarkey' on Kindle to get my next fix! I know James is really the hero - and an extremely tasty one - but I've chosen George to describe as chocolate. Celia, Swandlincote

I loved how the story came together and enjoyed the intrigue and the way the lies unfolded. I will certainly be reading more of Sue Moorcrofts books, and will never again say never to chic-lit style books. A thoroughly enjoyable read and a book I would read again. I can't wait to share this! Book rating 5/5 Lisa, Bookalicious Travel Addict Read the full review here ...

With a touch of subtle humour, Sue Moorcroft weaves flawed and vulnerable characters into the plot and subplots as she moves them toward fulfilling lives. To me the plot seems a little unfocused so the love story almost gets lost in the mundane pursuits of the characters. However, the metamorphosis of Diane that sparkles with joy is beguiling and the secrets that keep coming to light keep one turning pages. "Sue Moorcroft is one of my favourite writers of contemporary women’s fiction. Her writing is sharp, punchy and authentic, her characters credible and believable and her stories page-turning, compulsive and absolutely impossible to put down. Her latest Choc Lit novel, Want to Know a Secret? is a gripping tale of family secrets, shocking betrayals and devastating decisions that I devoured in a single day!" I would recommend this book to all, a great read for getting lost in on those long, cold winter nights, the type of book you pick up to read a few pages at night and three hours later you are still devouring the pages. Sarah Broadhurst, reviewer Read the full review here ...

It's a great story. You'll love the people. I could have quite fallen for James myself if it wasn't for the fact that I'm already spoken for and it was lovely to see Diane grow into herself, become a successful business woman and give Gareth exactly what he deserved. Diane has just the one child, Bryony, but James has three daughters with the youngest being rather frail and it was good to see how their lives developed as a result of what happened. Despite having some very sad moments it's a heart-warming and uplifting story ad one that will have you cheering out loud if you're not very careful. Definitely recommended. I would recommend it. To romance fans, to fiction fans, and to those who just like a good British story, they do have their ways of writing. If you are tired of world win romances, and over the top scenarios, then read this one. Big lies for sure, but also basic human emotion and feelings. It is very close to a 4, but I will still go with 3,75 for some reason I don't even know. Recommended yes, hard to put down, yes Linda, Finland. Books for life blogspot Read the full review here ...

But will Diane and James realise that at some point they need to stop protecting everyone else around them and work out how they can make themselves happy? This is a real page-turner as every time you think you've sussed what the secret is, there's another twist to the plot. Fast paced and definitely keeps you on your toes. I did find the book very readable and finished it in three days. I would definitely recommend it, because it does get easier to get past the way the younger folk in the book are written, honestly! Sue Moorcroft can definitely tell a story, and I do look forward to reading her other two novels and any more she will be having published. Leah Chick Lit Reviews Read the full review here ...

Want to Know A Secret? is just that; a story filled with secrets at every turn. So many that it is even shocking when another creeps out of the woodwork. I spent many pages wanting to throttle Diane’s husband and yet at other times felt sorry for him. I enjoyed the way Ms. Moorcroft made her characters so filled with flaws and very real! It truly makes for a great read in my book. Matilda Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More Read the full review here....
